The Water Distribution & Supply Engineer assists the Section Head in managing the development, maintenance, and updating of water sector regulations, codes of operations, and standards, including planning statements, performance reports, and water loss and regulation.The Water Distribution & Supply Engineer is responsible for monitoring new and existing regulations, codes of operations, and standards, as well as performance and providing feedback on what has worked well.Key Responsibilities:Review of distributions companies’ water 5-year planning statementsReview the distribution companies annual water loss reportsReview of distribution companies’ annual performance reportsEnsure the compliance with the water Supply Regulations and relevant guidesEnsure the compliance with the Water Tankering Regulations and relevant guides.Manage water supply related audits and other plans together with follow upAs part of the Water Regulation Section, oversee the performance and development of the Water Metering, and Distribution codes, as well as other codes and licenses where necessaryReview and provide guidance to the development of technical standards, regulations, and measuresDevelop methodologies for assessment of relevant regulatory submissions for compliance purposes.Manage all water supply related incidents and ensure coordinated follow up is implemented.Develop key performance indicators and monitor progress.Support the economics team in the Price Control and Technical Assessor Reviews. As well as the Capex reviews.Keep up to date with developments in the water transmission and distribution systems and provides appropriate input to the sector overall water network issues.Contribute to HSE issues arising with the Licensee in conjunction with the HSE Officer or AdviserPerform any other duties that may occasionally be required by the DoE.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline e.g. Engineering, etc.Experience5 years of operational and design experience in water sector
