Water Quality Chemist – RO & Desalination

Key ResponsibilitiesCollect water samples and perform chemical analysis from seawater intake through to treated water storage.Monitor water quality parameters to ensure compliance with operational and regulatory standards.Monitor and optimize chemical dosing across the water treatment process.Manage chemical inventory and maintain adequate stock levels for RO plant operations.Prepare laboratory reports, water quality records, and chemical consumption reports.Maintain laboratory equipment, testing instruments, and analytical records.Support operational planning and monitor key performance indicators.Review and improve laboratory procedures and operational processes.Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, environmental, and laboratory standards.Support team development and perform other duties assigned by the line manager.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.ExperienceExperience in water treatment, desalination, laboratory analysis, or water operations.Experience with Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants is preferred.Skills & KnowledgeKnowledge of water treatment and water distribution systems.Proficiency in laboratory testing equipment and analytical techniques.Understanding of chemical dosing and water quality monitoring.Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.Good communication, organizational, and time management skills.Familiarity with HSE, quality, and environmental standards related to water treatment operations.
