Water Tank Sales Representative / Water Tank Installation Worker

Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled, responsible, and customer-oriented Water Tank Sales Representative / Water Tank Installation Worker to promote and sell water tanks while assisting with site inspections, delivery, installation, maintenance, and basic servicing of water storage systems. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of water tanks and related accessories, strong customer service and sales abilities, practical installation skills, and the ability to ensure proper installation, product quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesPromote and sell water tanks and related water storage products to residential, commercial, industrial, construction, and other customers.Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable water tanks based on capacity, dimensions, material, application, installation location, budget, and project requirements.Provide customers with accurate information regarding water tank specifications, capacity, materials, dimensions, features, pricing, warranty, installation requirements, and maintenance.Prepare quotations, sales orders, product information, delivery arrangements, and follow up on customer enquiries and sales opportunities.Develop and maintain good relationships with homeowners, contractors, developers, plumbers, project managers, building owners, and other customers.Conduct site visits and basic site assessments to determine suitable water tank locations, access conditions, dimensions, supporting structures, pipe connections, and installation requirements.Coordinate with customers, contractors, suppliers, warehouse personnel, drivers, plumbers, and other workers to ensure smooth delivery and installation.Assist with loading, unloading, transporting, positioning, and moving water tanks and related equipment safely.Perform and assist with installation of water tanks, tank supports, pipes, valves, fittings, connectors, pumps, overflow systems, inlet and outlet connections, and related components where required.Prepare installation areas and ensure surfaces, foundations, platforms, and support structures are suitable and stable before installation.Measure and mark installation locations accurately according to site conditions, drawings, specifications, and tank dimensions.Assemble and connect water tank components, fittings, pipes, valves, connectors, and accessories according to manufacturer instructions and project requirements.Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, pipe-cutting tools, drilling equipment, measuring tools, and other installation equipment safely and correctly.Perform basic testing after installation to check water flow, pipe connections, valves, fittings, leakage, tank stability, and overall system functionality.Identify and report damaged tanks, defective components, leakage, improper connections, structural concerns, or other installation issues.Carry out basic maintenance, cleaning, adjustment, replacement of fittings, and minor repairs where required.Provide customers with basic instructions regarding water tank operation, cleaning, maintenance, safety, and proper usage.Monitor installation progress, work quality, material usage, and project completion schedules.Ensure water tanks and related products are handled, transported, stored, and installed properly to prevent damage.Maintain accurate sales records, customer information, quotations, orders, installation records, warranty information, and service records.Handle customer enquiries, complaints, product returns, warranty matters, installation issues, and after-sales service professionally.Inspect incoming water tanks and accessories for quantity, model, capacity, specifications, packaging, and visible damage.Maintain proper stock levels and ensure water tanks, fittings, pipes, valves, pumps, tools, and installation materials are properly stored and organized.Ensure all installation work is carried out in accordance with workplace safety procedures, appropriate PPE requirements, and safe working practices.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area during and after installation.Train or assist junior workers on proper installation methods, product handling, tool usage, and safety procedures where required.Identify opportunities to improve sales performance, installation efficiency, customer service, product knowledge, and overall operational effectiveness.Requirements & QualificationsPrevious experience as a Water Tank Sales Representative, Water Tank Installer, Plumbing Assistant, Water Tank Installation Worker, Sales Executive, Technical Sales Representative, or similar role.Experience in water tanks, plumbing, water supply systems, building materials, construction, hardware, or related industries would be an advantage.Good knowledge of water tanks, water storage systems, pipes, valves, fittings, pumps, connectors, and related accessories.Understanding of different water tank materials and types, including plastic, polyethylene, fiberglass, stainless steel, concrete, or other commonly used water storage systems.Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable water tank sizes, capacities, specifications, and accessories.Good sales, communication, negotiation, customer service, and interpersonal skills.Practical experience with water tank installation, plumbing, pipe fitting, assembly, maintenance, or related work would be an advantage.Ability to read and understand basic installation drawings, measurements, dimensions, specifications, and site requirements.Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools safely, including drills, wrenches, pipe-cutting tools, screwdrivers, measuring tools, and other installation equipment.Strong attention to detail when checking tank dimensions, pipe connections, fittings, valves, leakage, alignment, and installation quality.Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and practical technical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team at different customer and construction sites.Physically fit and comfortable with lifting, carrying, positioning, and handling water tanks, pipes, fittings, tools, and other materials.Comfortable working outdoors, at construction sites, in confined areas, or in different weather conditions when required.Willingness to travel to customer sites and installation locations as required.Reliable, responsible, hardworking, disciplined, and safety-conscious.Good basic computer skills and ability to maintain sales, customer, inventory, and installation records.Relevant plumbing, construction, technical, mechanical, or sales certification would be an advantage.Ability to work overtime, weekends, public holidays, or extended hours when required.Fluent English required; additional languages would be an advantage.
