We value integrity, safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Water Treatment Project Manager / Waste Management Director to coordinate water treatment initiatives, oversee waste management strategies, and support environmental performance across projects and operations. This part-time, fully remote opportunity is suited to a professional with strong project management, technical coordination, and sustainability expertise.The successful candidate will work with engineers, contractors, suppliers, regulatory stakeholders, and internal teams to support project delivery, optimize operational processes, manage risks, and ensure that environmental objectives align with business priorities. Site-based activities, where necessary, may be coordinated with local project teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and monitor water treatment, wastewater treatment, recycling, and waste management projects.Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, milestones, and performance indicators.Coordinate engineers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders to support timely project delivery.Evaluate treatment processes, waste handling methods, recycling opportunities, and resource recovery initiatives.Support the selection and implementation of appropriate water treatment and waste processing technologies.Monitor project costs, operational efficiency, quality standards, and progress against agreed objectives.Ensure project activities align with applicable environmental regulations, health and safety requirements, and industry standards.Identify project risks, technical challenges, and operational issues, recommending practical corrective actions.Develop waste reduction strategies, recycling programs, and initiatives to improve water and resource efficiency.Review technical reports, environmental performance data, project documentation, and contractor deliverables.Support stakeholder communications, management reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact, improve sustainability performance, and strengthen long-term operational resilience.RequirementsMinimum 3+ years of relevant experience in water treatment, wastewater management, environmental engineering, waste management, or project delivery preferred.Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline preferred.Understanding of water treatment processes, wastewater systems, waste handling, recycling, and environmental management principles.Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors, project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.Familiarity with environmental compliance, risk assessment, health and safety practices, and sustainability reporting.Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret technical documentation, operational data, and project performance reports.Experience with project management software and digital collaboration tools is an advantage.Ability to work independently, coordinate remote stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities effectively.What We OfferFlexible part-time work with a fully remote arrangement.Opportunities to contribute to meaningful environmental and sustainability initiatives.A collaborative environment that values technical expertise, responsible management, and innovation.Exposure to water treatment, waste reduction, and resource efficiency projects.Opportunities for professional development and measurable contributions to environmental performance.If you are passionate about environmental sustainability, project delivery, and responsible resource management, we welcome your application.
