By integrating sustainable practices with strong project and operational management, we help organizations improve resource efficiency and reduce environmental impact.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Water Treatment Project Manager / Waste Management Director to lead water, wastewater, waste-management, and environmental infrastructure initiatives.The ideal candidate combines strong project leadership with technical and operational understanding of water treatment and waste-management systems. This role will oversee planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, compliance, performance, and continuous improvement while ensuring projects meet quality, schedule, budget, and environmental objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead water treatment, wastewater, waste-management, and environmental infrastructure projects from planning through completion.Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, resource requirements, and delivery strategies.Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, operations, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.Monitor project progress, costs, quality, risks, resources, and key performance indicators.Oversee water treatment processes, wastewater systems, waste collection, processing, recycling, recovery, or disposal initiatives as applicable.Identify operational and environmental risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.Review technical proposals, engineering documentation, project specifications, and contractor submissions.Ensure projects comply with applicable environmental, health, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.Manage contractor and supplier performance, deliverables, commercial obligations, and service levels.Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.Support commissioning, testing, operational readiness, handover, and performance verification activities.Develop waste-reduction, recycling, resource-recovery, and circular-economy initiatives where appropriate.Prepare project reports, operational dashboards, forecasts, risk registers, and management updates.Manage stakeholder communications and provide clear recommendations to senior leadership.Support budgeting, cost control, procurement planning, and commercial decision-making.Drive continuous improvement in environmental performance, operational efficiency, and service quality.Requirements3+ years of relevant experience in water treatment, wastewater, waste management, environmental engineering, infrastructure, or related project management preferred.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Water Resources, Waste Management, or a related discipline preferred.Strong understanding of water treatment, wastewater management, waste operations, environmental systems, or related infrastructure.Experience managing complex projects involving contractors, consultants, suppliers, and multiple stakeholders.Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, quality control, and performance monitoring.Understanding of environmental compliance, health and safety requirements, and sustainable resource management.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail.Ability to evaluate technical information and translate it into practical operational and management decisions.Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities independently within a remote international environment.Strong written and verbal English communication skills.Professional certifications are not required unless specifically relevant to the role.What We OfferFully remote, part-time working arrangement with flexibility.Opportunity to contribute to meaningful water, waste, and environmental infrastructure projects.Exposure to sustainable development, resource recovery, environmental technologies, and operational transformation.Collaborative environment focused on safety, sustainability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.Access to modern project-management, reporting, engineering, and environmental tools.Competitive compensation aligned with experience and responsibilities.Professional growth and opportunities for broader environmental and infrastructure leadership.A purpose-driven role contributing to cleaner water, responsible waste management, and more sustainable communities.
