Valued holds ownership interests in 22 affordable housing projects in Los Angeles and Nevada, totaling 2,130 units, and actively supports their long-term stability and value. The company’s success is driven by a strong philosophy of “Attention to Detail,” emphasizing meticulous oversight of every task in the development process.Role Description The Project Development Manager — Valued Housing is a full-time, on-site role based in Orange County, CA. This position oversees affordable housing development projects from initial concept through completion, coordinating with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and public agencies. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing project schedules and budgets, supporting expediting of permits and approvals, organizing inspections, and handling logistics related to construction activities and resident impact. The role also involves preparing and reviewing development documents, tracking compliance with funding program requirements, and reporting project status to leadership and partners. The Project Development Manager contributes to strategic planning, identifies risk and mitigation strategies, and ensures each project is aligned with Valued’s commitment to quality, affordability, and attention to detail.QualificationsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organization and attention to detail.Candidates should possess strong project management skills to oversee timelines, budgets, stakeholder coordination, and reporting across multiple developments.Relevant qualifications include experience in real estate development or construction management, preferably in affordable or multifamily housing.Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with public financing programs (e.g., housing revenue bonds, HUD, LIHTC), strong analytical and financial modeling abilities, and proficiency with project management software.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.Bachelor’s degree in real estate, urban planning, construction management, finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
