Development & ImplementationDesign, develop, maintain, and enhance responsive, scalable, and high-performing websites.Build and implement new website features based on business, product, and design requirements.Work across both frontend and backend components of websites.Write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.Convert UI/UX designs into responsive and functional web experiences.Develop integrations with APIs, third-party platforms, tools, and services.Work with databases, hosting environments, domains, DNS, and other components required to keep websites running effectively.Work with WordPress when required, including theme customization, plugin integration, and development.Website Performance & OptimizationContinuously monitor and improve website speed, performance, responsiveness, and stability.Identify performance bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.Optimize websites for different browsers, devices, and screen sizes.Use tools such as Lighthouse, GTmetrix, and other relevant tools to identify and improve performance.Implement technical SEO best practices, including site structure, metadata, sitemaps, structured data, and other on-page technical requirements.Proactively identify opportunities to improve the overall website experience.Troubleshooting & Problem SolvingTake ownership of website issues from identification through resolution.Debug and resolve frontend, backend, integration, hosting, performance, and functionality-related issues.Investigate problems independently before escalating them.Identify potential issues before they impact users or business operations.Develop practical and long-term solutions rather than temporary fixes.Maintain a strong focus on reducing recurring issues and improving website reliability.Security & MaintenanceMaintain website security and ensure timely implementation of updates and security patches.Monitor and address potential vulnerabilities.Manage website dependencies, integrations, plugins, and other third-party components.Follow secure coding and web development best practices.Use version control such as Git to properly manage and document code changes.Collaboration & DeliveryWork closely with designers, product teams, technical teams, and other stakeholders.Understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.Participate in planning, discussions, reviews, and development activities.Deliver tasks and projects within agreed timelines while maintaining a high standard of quality.Clearly communicate progress, technical challenges, dependencies, and potential delays.Maintain appropriate technical documentation for development decisions and configurations.Requirements4–6 years of professional experience in web development.Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining production websites.Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development practices.Strong experience with at least one backend technology/language such as PHP, Node.js, Python, or equivalent.Experience working with databases and APIs.Experience with responsive web development and cross-browser compatibility.Practical understanding of website performance, technical SEO, security, and optimization.Experience with WordPress and familiarity with themes, plugins, and customization.Experience with Git or other version-control systems.Experience with website hosting, deployment, domains, DNS, and troubleshooting will be an advantage.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Ability to
