The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in website development, CMS platforms, and web technologies, along with a basic understanding of server-side technologies and digital marketing requirements.The candidate will be responsible for leading the development team, managing website projects, ensuring technical quality, and coordinating closely with SEO, Google Ads, Content, Creative, and other marketing teams to deliver high-performing websites and landing pages for our clients.Key Responsibilities    Development & Technical Leadership● Lead and oversee website development projects from planning and development to testing, deployment, and maintenance.● Develop, customize, and maintain websites using WordPress, PHP, Laravel, Shopify, Wix, and other relevant technologies.● Take ownership of the technical execution of multiple client websites.● Develop and customize WordPress themes, plugins, templates, and functionalities.● Handle Shopify, Wix, and other CMS/e-commerce website development and customization.● Review code and development work to ensure quality, security, performance, scalability, and best practices.● Troubleshoot technical issues, website errors, broken functionalities, hosting issues, and performance problems.● Handle website migrations, integrations, APIs, forms, and third-party tools.● Identify technical challenges proactively and provide appropriate solutions.Team Leadership & Management● Lead, guide, and mentor junior and mid-level developers.● Assign development tasks based on project requirements, priorities, and team capabilities.● Review team members' work and provide technical guidance and feedback.● Establish and maintain development standards, workflows, and best practices.● Monitor project progress and ensure development tasks are completed within agreed timelines.● Act as the primary technical point of contact for development-related requirements.● Encourage knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the development team.● Take ownership of resolving technical roadblocks that affect project delivery.    Collaboration with Digital Marketing TeamsAs this is a digital marketing company, the Website Development Lead will work closely with multiple marketing teams.● Work closely with the SEO team to implement technical SEO recommendations.● Coordinate with the Google Ads / Performance Marketing team to develop and optimize landing pages for campaigns and conversions.● Collaborate with content and creative teams to implement website content and design requirements.● Work with account managers to understand client requirements and translate them into technical solutions.● Coordinate with marketing teams on website tracking, analytics, conversion tracking, forms, and integrations.● Ensure websites support broader SEO, advertising, lead generation, conversion, and user experience objectives.SEO & Performance● Implement technical SEO requirements such as:○ Schema markup○ Canonical tags○ XML sitemaps○ Robots.txt○ URL structures○ Redirects○ Indexing and crawling requirements● Optimize websites for Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall performance.● Ensure landing pages are technically optimized for paid advertising and conversion campaigns.● Work with SEO specialists to identify and resolve technical SEO issues.Server & HostingThe candidate should have a basic to intermediate understanding of server-side and hosting environments, including:● cPanel● Hosting environments● DNS and domain configuration● SSL● FTP/SFTP● Website migration and deployment● Basic Linux/server concepts● Basic database management● Server-side troubleshootingRequired Technical SkillsCore Development● WordPress -
