Liali Events maintains an active presence across digital platforms and invites interested professionals to learn more via its website and social media channels.Role Description The Wedding and Event Management Financial Manager and Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role oversees all financial aspects of event projects, including budgeting, cost estimation, supplier payment schedules, and revenue tracking for weddings and corporate events. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, monitoring cash flow, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate and timely invoicing. The role also involves financial forecasting for upcoming events, coordinating with the planning and production teams to align budgets with creative concepts, and negotiating financial terms with vendors and partners. The Financial Manager and Controller ensures compliance with internal financial policies and local regulations, supports audits, and provides data-driven insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.QualificationsStrong skills in financial planning, budgeting, and cost control within event management or a related service industry.Experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management, including preparation of monthly and project-based statements.Proficiency in accounting principles, accounts payable and receivable, and reconciliation of event-related expenses and revenues.Ability to collaborate with creative, planning, and production teams to align financial decisions with event concepts and client requirements.Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets and financial software; experience with ERP or event management systems is an advantage.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, particularly in managing vendor contracts and payment terms.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages commonly used in the region are beneficial.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.Previous experience in events, hospitality, or entertainment sectors in the Middle East, preferably in Dubai, is highly desirable.High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment with shifting event timelines.
