Welding Inspector (CBT) - Oman Location

.Role Description The Welding Inspector (CBT) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Oman. The Welding Inspector will perform day-to-day welding inspections on-site, ensuring that all welding activities meet required codes, standards, and project specifications. Responsibilities include monitoring welding procedures, verifying welder qualifications, reviewing welding consumables, and conducting visual and non-destructive inspections as applicable. The role also involves documenting inspection findings, preparing reports, and collaborating with project, quality, and safety teams to address non-conformities and implement corrective actions. The Welding Inspector will help maintain high-quality workmanship and compliance with client, regulatory, and safety.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong expertise in Welding Inspection and Welding, including familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and procedures.Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control and Quality Assurance to oversee welding activities and ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements.Candidates should possess solid Inspection skills, including visual inspection techniques and, preferably, exposure to non-destructive testing methods.Relevant certifications such as CSWIP, AWS-CWI, or equivalent welding inspector qualifications are highly beneficial.Experience in oil and gas, construction, or heavy industry projects in the Middle East is an advantage.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications, with strong attention to detail.Effective communication and reporting skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multicultural, on-site project teams.Commitment to safety standards and safe work practices in all inspection activities.
