This role is responsible for overseeing resident health and wellness, including assessment, care planning, and ongoing clinical oversight in collaboration with physicians, families, and community staff. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, coordinating medication management, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards, and promoting best practices in infection control and resident safety. The Wellness RN Director supports staff education, coaching, and performance feedback, and plays a key role in onboarding and training team members on clinical policies and procedures. This position also partners with leadership to enhance resident quality of life, participate in care conferences, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and external care providers.Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York and strong clinical assessment and care planning abilities.Experience in senior living, long-term care, assisted living, memory care, or related geriatric settings.Demonstrated skills in staff supervision, team leadership, and coaching within a healthcare or senior care environment.Knowledge of regulatory requirements, documentation standards, medication management, and infection control practices.Excellent communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills when working with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including prioritizing multiple clinical and administrative tasks.Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications used in clinical settings.Ability to work on-site, participate in rotating on-call or emergency coverage as needed, and respond effectively in urgent situations.Commitment to person-centered care, resident dignity, and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive community environment.Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; prior supervisory experience in a healthcare setting strongly beneficial.
