KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:The Wells Project Manager is responsible for the management of the well operations team charged with implementation of drilling, completion, workover, intervention, stimulation and well testing programmes. In addition, they provide operational guidance and planning assistance to the field team. The Wells Project Manager will be required to form and maintain excellent relations with the other members of the field operations team. The Wells Project Manager owns the Project Execution Plan, manage risk, performance, and assurance across the Well Delivery Process. The Wells Project Manager may act as a delegate for the Wells Manager in their absence. A Drilling Superintendent or Principal Drilling Engineer may act as a delegate for the Wells Project Manager in their absence.Accountable for performing all duties with due regard to the health, safety of self, others and of the environment in which they are undertaken.Develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan (PEP), well delivery schedule, cost model/AFE, and change control through the project cyclesAccountable for safely achieving well operations programme objectives.Accountable for accurate operational input of all well programmes and programme amendments for the execution phase.Build and lead a multi-disciplinary well delivery team; coach engineers and supervisors; ensure clear roles, responsibilities, and decision rights.Project focal point during planning, operational and close out phases. Responsible for ensuring all stakeholders are fully consulted and/or informed throughout the project phases. Deal with client concerns, issues and ensuring suitable action is taken to resolve.Responsible for ensuring all aspects of the project are managed in line with the Company’s standards and client expectations.Liaison with all members of the office and field operations team to ensure that objectives for the well operations programmes are defined and fully understood.Responsible for ensuring that documents / work completed on the project are reviewed and appropriateDevelop project plans and lead in project reporting. Lead weekly execution, performance review and optimization; drive lessons learned and continuous improvement.Ensure technical/operational/HSE risks are identified and ensure mitigations and contingency plans are in place; conduct peer reviews as required.Approval of leave requests from project personnel and ensuring that they are communicated to the required discipline lead. Accountable for people management when leave is taken to ensure performance of project related work is maintain.Responsible for ensuring invoicing for project deliverables is prompt and accurate, and for following up on invoice approvals with the client.Development and implementation of rig/project specific HSEQ plans in line with Petrofac and project requirements in addition to permits and submissions to the regulatory bodies as necessaryDirect supervision of team to ensure that work is carried out in a safe manner with due regard to safety and the environment, in adherence with Petrofac requirements.Lead the Wellsite Supervision team in the implementation of and adherence to Petrofac and project specific HSEQ and legislative requirements.Ensure adherence to Well Delivery ProcessAFE/Budget compilation, cost control and management.Day to day management of rig operations. Coordination of logistics support for rig operations in the absence of Drilling SuperintendentSupervision of engineering team to provide operational input to planning process.Team lead in emergency response situation in line with agreed project documentation such as project specific Bridging Document and Emergency Response Plan when required in the absence of drilling Superintendent .Safety and environmental inspection visits to well sites.Co-ordination of morning and other operational meetings and calls with Field team as needed in the absence of drilling Superintendent.Liaison with drilling and service contractors to ensure quality of service, and to drive integration and communication between the various service providers.Agree and expedite corrective actions resulting from any incident and accident report.Review and approval of required project call offs, invoices.Ensure high quality rig site reporting from Petrofac and 3rd party team as required.Performance improvement by for example the gathering of and approval of all operational lessons and the close out of the respective actions.Ensures regular and accurate reporting of all critical data to Petrofac and other stakeholders as required by the project, i.e. weekly operational and cost reporting, weekly HSEQ statistics and performance reporting and Cost reports.Stand in for Wells Manager when required in his/her absence.Responsible for accurate planning, scheduling and project resourcing.Responsible for managing changes, whether operational or design with potential impact to the schedule, cost and HSEQ risks.Responsible for risk assessment during planning and execution phase.Leading peer review and assurance process for well programmes.Review of daily operational reports prior to issuing.Coordinating efforts for contingency planning and ensuring the design and preparation for contingency plans are carried out by the planning team.Lead the inputting and tracking of all project actions and key legislation in Turus.Lead the inputting and close out of all lessons in Turus.Lead risk reviews and document same as required by the project utilising Turus.Lead client project meetings and weekly reporting requirements.Team focused.Prioritise work scopes accordingly with due cognisance of conflicting drivers (HSEQ, time, cost, progress, etc) Strong influencing skills with the ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-national environments.Customer focused.Ensure client satisfaction and long-term relationship value.Strong HSEQ leadership.Regulatory & Legislative compliance.Excellent communication skills.Strong understanding of commercial and contracts management.Effective leadership.Results-driven delivery.Continuous improvement. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Degree qualified in an engineering discipline (preferable but not essential)Valid IWCF certificate L4 or equivalent.Broad understanding of Project Delievry & Well Construction activities including Drilling, Completions, Well Testing, Well Stimulation (convetional & unconventional) and Well Services activities.Prior experience of managing well operations and multi-discipline team of well engineers and supervisors.Working knowledge of drilling rigs, rigsite operating procedures and risk management.Prior experience of working with international operators.Strong knowledge of project planning tools such as MS Project and other Office Applications.Strong commercial and contract management experience, including tendering, contractor performance management, and invoice approval.Prior experience of working in Middle East region and UAE.Strong onshore and offshore experience.
