Location: Bloomingdale International School, Penamaluru, Vijayawada, Andhra PradeshCurriculum: iCBSEEmployment Type: Full-time | In-personExperience: 2+ years preferredKey ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging Western Dance classes for students across different age groups.Teach fundamental dance techniques, movements, coordination, rhythm, flexibility, and performance skills.Introduce students to different Western dance styles such as Contemporary, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Ballet, and other relevant styles.Break down complex dance movements and choreography into simple, easy-to-learn steps.Develop age-appropriate lesson plans and structured dance activities.Choreograph dance routines for school events, celebrations, competitions, assemblies, and cultural programmes.Encourage creativity, confidence, discipline, teamwork, and self-expression through dance.Identify and nurture students with strong interest and potential in dance.Conduct rehearsals and prepare students for stage performances.Ensure appropriate warm-up, stretching, movement, and safety practices during classes.Monitor student participation and progress and provide constructive feedback.Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.Collaborate with teachers and coordinators for school events and interdisciplinary activities.Participate in professional development and contribute to the wider co-curricular programme.What We’re Looking ForBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dance, Dance Education, Performing Arts, or a related field.Formal training in one or more Western dance styles.Strong proficiency in Contemporary, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Ballet, or related dance forms.Proven experience in teaching dance to children or young learners.Strong choreography and performance skills.Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate dance lessons.Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Creative, energetic, patient, and student-focused approach.IB Experience & CurriculumAt least 2 years of teaching experience within an IB school/programme is preferred.Candidates with experience in CBSE, ICSE, Cambridge, IGCSE, iCBSE, or other recognized school curricula may also be considered based on their dance expertise and teaching experience.IB Category 1 workshop completion within the last 2 years is preferred and will be an added advantage.Why Join Bloomingdale International School?Opportunity to work in a dynamic school environment.Opportunity to develop students' artistic and creative abilities.Supportive and collaborative work culture.Opportunity to choreograph and coordinate school performances.Scope to contribute to the school's performing arts and co-curricular programmes.Opportunities for professional development.Open to RelocationCandidates currently outside Vijayawada who are willing to relocate to Vijayawada are encouraged to apply.Join Bloomingdale International School and inspire students to discover confidence, creativity, discipline, and self-expression through Western Dance.
