WhatsApp-RCS Technical Ops Lead

Smartping is looking for Technical Operations Lead with 10+ years of experience to spearhead our CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service) operations, specifically focusing on our WhatsApp & RCS Business solutions. Job Location : Mohali (WFO) Key Responsibilities: • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor and scale a team of technical operations engineers, setting KPIs and driving operational excellence. • Platform Operations: Oversee the end-to-end technical delivery, uptime and performance of our WhatsApp & RCS CPaaS infrastructure. • API & Integration Support: Guide the team in troubleshooting complex API integrations, webhooks, and routing issues for enterprise clients. • Incident Management: Lead the resolution of high-priority technical issues, managing downtime and conducting root-cause analysis (RCA). • Partner Coordination: Act as the primary technical point of contact with Meta/WhatsApp and telecom aggregators to ensure seamless platform compliance and updates. Requirements • Experience: 10+ years in technical operations within the Telecom or CPaaS industry. • Team Handling: Proven track record of managing and leading engineering or technical support teams. • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the WhatsApp Business API ecosystem, RCS , chat automation, and CPaaS delivery workflows. • Technical Skills: Solid grasp of REST APIs, webhooks, SMPP, database management (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure). • Location: Must be willing to work on-site at our Mohali location.
