Windows & Compute Infrastructure Engineer

About the RoleWe are looking for a Windows & Compute Infrastructure Engineer to support the administration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise Windows Server and physical compute environments.The role will be responsible for maintaining highly available and reliable compute infrastructure, managing server hardware and firmware lifecycles, supporting clustering technologies, and resolving complex L2/L3 infrastructure incidents.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments across enterprise infrastructure.Manage physical servers, compute platforms, and associated hardware components.Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting of Windows Server systems.Support Windows Server clustering, failover, and high-availability environments.Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and overall infrastructure health.Troubleshoot complex L2/L3 incidents and provide root-cause analysis.Manage server hardware lifecycle activities, including installation, replacement, upgrades, and decommissioning.Coordinate firmware, BIOS, driver, and hardware updates in accordance with change-management procedures.Work with server vendors for hardware diagnostics, warranty support, and technical escalations.Support virtualization and hybrid infrastructure environments where required.Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures.Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery activities.Ensure infrastructure changes follow security, availability, and operational standards.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.4+ years of experience in Windows Server, compute, or infrastructure engineering.Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration.Experience with Windows Server clustering and high-availability technologies.Experience managing physical server hardware and enterprise compute infrastructure.Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and core Windows infrastructure services.Experience with server patching, firmware, drivers, hardware upgrades, and troubleshooting.Strong knowledge of incident, problem, and change management processes.Experience working with enterprise server vendors and support teams.Preferred CertificationsMicrosoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator AssociateVendor server certification such as Dell, HPE, or LenovoKey SkillsWindows Server AdministrationPhysical Compute InfrastructureWindows Failover ClusteringServer Hardware & FirmwareActive DirectoryInfrastructure TroubleshootingIncident & Problem ManagementCapacity & Performance ManagementVendor ManagementITIL / Change ManagementDisaster Recovery
