قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجWomen’s First Team Club DoctorRole SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated First Team Club Doctor to provide comprehensive medical leadership and clinical care within a growing professional women’s football programme in Saudi Arabia.The successful candidate will work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), collaborating closely with physiotherapy, rehabilitation, performance, nutrition, psychology and coaching staff to maximise player health, welfare and availability. The role requires an excellent understanding of women’s health and the specific medical demands of elite female football, alongside strong capabilities in emergency medicine, musculoskeletal assessment, diagnostics and clinical decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the day-to-day medical management of Women’s First Team players.Provide high-quality assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of sporting injuries and medical conditions.Provide medical coverage and clinical leadership across training, matches and competition.Lead and coordinate emergency medical care, including implementation and regular review of Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).Demonstrate competency in diagnostic ultrasound and the interpretation of relevant radiological investigations, including X-ray, MRI and CT imaging.Coordinate appropriate investigations, specialist referrals and external medical consultations.Work collaboratively with physiotherapy, rehabilitation and performance staff throughout injury diagnosis, rehabilitation and return-to-performance.Contribute effectively to MDT meetings and provide clear medical recommendations regarding player availability, training modification and return to play.Provide expertise in female athlete and women’s health, including menstrual health, hormonal considerations, iron status, bone health, pregnancy/post-partum considerations and other relevant female-specific health issues.Lead pre-participation medical screening and ongoing player health surveillance.Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation and appropriate clinical governance standards.Develop strong relationships with players and staff while communicating complex medical information clearly and appropriately.Support the continued development of medical systems, processes and standards within a growing professional football environment.Essential RequirementsFluent Arabic and English speaker.Medical Degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent).Appropriate licence/registration to practise medicine in Saudi Arabia.Significant experience in sports medicine and/or the management of elite athletes.Strong knowledge and practical experience of women’s health and female athlete medicine.Demonstrable competency in pitch-side and emergency medical care.Competency in musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound.Strong understanding and interpretation of radiology, particularly musculoskeletal MRI, X-ray and CT investigations.Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic and decision-making skills.Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a multidisciplinary high-performance team.Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.DesirablePostgraduate qualification in Sports & Exercise Medicine.Previous experience within professional football.Previous experience within elite women’s football or women’s professional sport.Advanced pitch-side/emergency medicine qualification.Experience establishing or developing medical systems within a growing professional sporting organisation.Candidate ProfileWe are looking for a doctor who combines excellent clinical expertise with outstanding MDT and interpersonal skills.
