We are looking for a mid-senior level developer, with a minimum of 3 years experience in WordPress development.This role is a full-time, work-from-home role. You’ll join our team of in-house developers and designers, along with our client-facing team of directors, project managers and digital marketing professionals, to work with us on delivering best-in-class websites for our clients.We are looking for someone who’s forward-thinking, open-minded and loves to solve problems in order to deliver great digital products.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDeveloping best-in-class websitesYou’ll be working closely with our designers and other developers to build web projects ranging from ‘brochure’ websites through to e-commerce and web platforms.You’ll engage with other team members and clients to assess the feasibility of projects and estimate the right approach and timeframes.What we are looking forFrontend skills:Essential: Strong experience of writing clean, minimal HTMLEssential: Strong experience with CSS, including modern CSS 3 propertiesEssential: Good understanding of SCSS (or some alternative such as LESS)Essential: Good understanding of JavaScript and jQueryEssential: Experience with Tailwind CSSBonus: Experience with AlpineJSBonus: Experience with React (or other frameworks such as Vue)Bonus: Experience with Twig templating language (or alternatives such as Blade)Backend skills:Essential: Strong experience with object oriented PHPEssential: Strong experience of building WordPress themes from scratchEssential: Good understanding of Advanced Custom Fields pluginEssential: Good understanding of using Git for version controlEssential: Some experience of building custom WooCommerce sitesBonus: Some experience of extending WordPress/WooCommerce with custom functionality, without relying on third party pluginsBonus: Experience with Timber WordPress frameworkBonus: Experience with developing API integrations with third party softwareBonus: Experience with dependency managers such as Composer and NPMBonus: Experience with managing hosting accounts using cPanel/WHMBonus: Experience with CI/CD and automated deploymentsThe bonus points above would be useful, but can be taught on the job so are not essential.WHAT WE OFFERFlexible working hoursCompetitive salaryNo daily commute to LondonTraining opportunities to develop your skillsFrequent team socials30 days holidayFun, challenging projects for interesting, creative and innovative clientsAdd great achievements to your CV: we're a small team and you'll have direct influence on the success of client projects.
