Today, MBA Work Comp Lien Unit is dedicated to providing lien, collection, and med-legal litigation services exclusively to radiology and diagnostic testing providers.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site and remote role based in Lake Elsinore, CA for a Work Comp Lien Negotiator & Hearing Representative. The role involves reviewing and analyzing Workers’ Compensation lien files, billing records, and related documentation to determine appropriate negotiation strategies. The individual will negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters, attorneys, and other parties, aiming to resolve liens efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities include preparing case summaries, exhibits, and settlement documents, and appearing as a hearing representative at the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board. The role also requires maintaining detailed case notes, tracking deadlines, communicating regularly with internal team members and provider clients, and supporting med-legal litigation activities related to radiology and diagnostic testing services.QualificationsExperience with Workers’ Compensation liens, collections, and basic familiarity with California Workers’ Compensation laws and procedures.Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and advocacy skills for interacting with adjusters, attorneys, and hearing officers.Ability to review and interpret medical billing, radiology and diagnostic reports, and legal documents with attention to detail.Effective written and verbal communication skills for drafting correspondence, case summaries, and presenting at hearings.Proficiency with office software, case management systems, and general IT tools to manage files and track case progress.Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple cases, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.Prior experience as a hearing representative or in a legal, claims, or medical billing environment is highly beneficial but not required as long as the applicant has Work Comp experienceAbility to work on-site in Lake Elsinore, CA, 1-2 days per week and collaborate respectfully in a diverse, team-oriented environment.
