This role suits someone who has personally built and supported Workday HCM solutions end‑to‑end, not someone who only manages vendors or oversees functional tickets.You will be the technical authority across Workday modules, integrations, security, reporting, and release cycles. This is hands‑on Workday engineering: designing, building, testing, and improving the platform so it scales with the organisation’s growth and operational demands. Main Responsibilities
- Own configuration across core Workday HCM areas, ensuring workflows, security, and processes run reliably at scale.
- Build and maintain integrations using EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, APIs, and other Workday tools.
- Support payroll interfaces and country‑specific deployments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and secure data movement.
- Develop custom objects, orchestrations, and extensions to meet evolving business requirements.
- Lead testing cycles (unit, system, integration) and UAT, with clear documentation and issue resolution.
- Optimise business processes, approval flows, notifications, and calculated fields.
- Produce dashboards, analytics, and reporting solutions using Workday reporting tools.
- Maintain governance across environments, including release management, regression testing, and change control.
- Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver scalable Workday solutions.
- Provide training, documentation, and guidance to drive adoption and capability across user groups.Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands‑on Workday configuration and integration experience.
- Direct experience supporting at least one full Workday implementation from build through deployment.
- Strong capability across HCM modules, business processes, security, reporting, and tenant management.
- Proven experience designing and supporting integrations using EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, PECI/PICOF, and APIs.
- Ability to gather requirements, facilitate workshops, and translate business needs into scalable system solutions.
- Experience working across global or multi‑country environments is highly advantageous.
- Technical background in IT, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or similar discipline.
- Deep understanding of Workday HCM configuration, customisation, and workflow design.
- Strong integration engineering capability across Workday Extend, Studio, web services, and authentication frameworks.
- Skilled in reporting and analytics, including calculated fields, dashboards, and advanced reporting tools.
- Comfortable managing environments, release cycles, change control, and compliance frameworks.
- Confident working with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors in a matrixed organisation.
