Location: Telford, with potential expansion into surrounding areasISS Facility Services is looking for an experienced Workplace Services Manager to lead the delivery, performance and development of an integrated facilities operation for a key client.Reporting to the Regional Workplace Manager, you’ll lead a team of around 34 colleagues and oversee a broad range of services including Engineering, Security, Cleaning, Catering, Helpdesk and Workplace Services.This is a high-profile, client-facing leadership role with responsibility for people, performance, compliance, customer experience and commercial results.The roleYou will:Lead, motivate and develop a team of approximately 34 colleagues, including operational leads and technical specialists.Own the delivery of integrated facilities services, ensuring consistently high standards across the site.Hold full P&L accountability for site performance and profitability.Ensure robust Health & Safety, statutory compliance, security and operational risk management.Drive performance against agreed SLAs, KPIs and client expectations.Build strong relationships with clients, building users, suppliers, landlords and ISS stakeholders.Oversee PPM, reactive works, audits, quality assurance and incident management.Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation and efficiency.Manage performance, recruitment, training, development and succession planning across the site team.Provide clear operational and financial reporting to Account Directors.Support the Regional Workplace Manager and wider ISS initiatives, including leadership development and business continuity arrangements.About youYou’ll be an experienced Facilities Management leader with a proven track record in a complex, customer-facing environment.You’ll bring:5+ years’ FM management experience, including hard services and security.Experience overseeing M&E/engineering and soft services within an integrated FM environment.Proven experience leading and developing sizeable teams.Strong commercial and financial awareness, ideally with P&L responsibility.Experience managing clients, suppliers and multiple stakeholders.A strong understanding of Health & Safety, statutory compliance and operational risk.A track record of using performance data to improve service delivery.Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation and problem-solving skills.Strong organisational skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.Relevant professional qualifications and/or a strong time-served FM background.What will make you successful?You’ll be a customer-focused, commercially aware and results-driven leader who can build trust, engage teams and deliver consistently high standards.You’ll be comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels, taking ownership of challenges and identifying opportunities to improve performance, service quality and the customer experience.Why ISS?This is an opportunity to take ownership of a significant integrated workplace operation within a leading facilities services organisation.You’ll have genuine scope to influence people, service delivery, customer experience, operational performance and commercial outcomes, while contributing to wider ISS initiatives across the UK.
