Workshop Technician

General Description:Saher Flow Solutions is searching for a detail-oriented, dependable technician (having electrical/mechanical diploma) to join our growing team. The technician's responsibilities include monitoring and servicing systems, assembling and testing systems, diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment, running tests and completing reports. You should collaborate with other professionals and be able to make useful recommendations wherever possible.

Job Responsibilities

To support the management to help outsource CNC machine partsFabrication and assembly of metallic and non-metallic parts, working from drawings, sketches and verbal instructionTo support in realizing the electrical systemsTo support the manufacturing & fabrication requirements of related projectsUndertake where appropriate, maintenance of equipment & management of resources (materials, metals, tools).Liaise with suppliers and contractors on the servicing, repair and testing of lab. & workshop equipment.Asset management through equipment and tool taggingMaintain a record of movement of assets from lab/workshopMaintain up-to-date records of maintenance and testing of equipment.Assist with the sourcing of materials, consumables and equipment for the mechanical laboratories & workshop areas.To evaluate and test new equipment under consideration for use in the lab and workshop.To support technical staff in developing new laboratory demonstrations and project activities.To maintain the lab and workshop equipment for efficient changeover between projects and demosTo ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety requirements whilst undertaking dutiesTo undertake any other duties as required, commensurate with the grade or below as directed by the Head of Department.To support the company's outreach activities with partners and collaboratorsSupport logistic requirements (transporting items, products to/from fields, exhibitions & workshops)Required skills & educations:DAE (Diploma) in Electrical, Mechanical or in the relevant fieldGeneral making abilitiesThe ability to help with multiple requests from multiple different people in a friendly and calm mannerGood practical knowledge of general power tools such as table saw, band saw, jig saw, circular saw, grinder and drill pressGood practical knowledge of operating laser cutter and manual lathe machine etc.Practical knowledge of operating and maintaining an engineering latheWorking knowledge of pipe fitting (assembly, disassembly)Working knowledge of hydrostatic pressure testing in pipesHandling and operating and electric forklift to maneuver heavy itemsOperating and maintaining 3D printers is a good-to-have skillAbout Saher Flow Solutions:Saher Flow Solutions is a company specialized in designing, manufacturing and commissioning of innovative multiphase flow meters for oil and gas industry.
