Yacht Captain

Osprey Marine will be hiring a part-time captain for the 2027 season beginning on May 1st. Qualifications Include: A minimum of 100 Ton Masters Certificate A least five years experience as a working captain. Enrolled in a compliance drug testing program. Ability to work with crew and customers (outgoing personality is a plus) Job Description: Responsibilities will include operating our charter vessel "Osprey", a 42 foot Symbol MY for private charter on the Hudson River out of Kingston, N.Y. Typical charter last for three hours but may be as long as a full day. The owner/captain of the vessel will be on board for most charters. He will not be renewing his Masters Certificate after 2026 but wishes to continue the charter business. This is a part-time position and it is difficult to predict how many charters will occur during the season. The hourly rate of compensation will be determined after an interview.
