About the Role
Sunburn Studios is looking for an experienced and confident Lead News Anchor to join our political news team.The ideal candidate should have strong experience in **political news anchoring**, excellent on-camera presence, and the ability to confidently present breaking news, political developments, debates, and current-affairs stories to a digital audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Anchor daily political news and current-affairs programs.* Present breaking news and developing stories with clarity and confidence.* Research and understand political developments before going on air.* Conduct interviews with politicians, experts, and public figures.* Handle live discussions, debates, and panel conversations.* Deliver news in a professional, engaging, and audience-friendly manner.* Coordinate with the editorial and production teams for daily programming.* Maintain accuracy, neutrality, and professional standards while presenting news.* Contribute ideas for new shows, formats, and digital news content.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a News Anchor, preferably in a Political News Channel.* Strong knowledge of Indian politics and current affairs.* Excellent Telugu communication and presentation skills.* Strong voice modulation, diction, and storytelling ability.* Confident and engaging on-camera personality.* Ability to handle live broadcasts and breaking-news situations.* Good interview and debate-handling skills.* Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom environment.* Candidates with experience in YouTube / Digital News Media will be preferred.What We’re Looking For:Someone who can be the face and voice of Sunburn Studios — confident on camera, strong in political understanding, quick with breaking developments, and capable of connecting with a digital-first audience.Compensation:₹40,000 – ₹50,000 per month, based on experience, skills, and on-camera performance.
