Job search in Saudi Arabia: licences, Jadarat and sources
Short answer. Check the requirements for your profession before applying: engineers are regulated by the Saudi Council of Engineers and health practitioners by SCFHS. Jadarat is a national platform for Saudi job seekers that you can visit yourself; Apply Edge searches LinkedIn, Workable and GulfTalent for Saudi roles.
1. Check the requirements for your profession.
- Engineers (for example civil engineers). The Saudi Council of Engineers states that engineers practising in the Kingdom must be registered with it, and Article 4 of the Practice of Engineering Professions Regulating Law bars employers from hiring engineers who lack accreditation (https://www.saudieng.sa/Admin/NPSCERules/PracticeSystemNEW-en.pdf). Requirements and fees are on the Council's accreditation pages: https://saudieng.sa/English/AboutSCE/SCEDepartments/Pages/ProfessionalAccreditation.aspx. Fees and rules change; confirm on saudieng.sa.
- Pharmacists and dentists. SCFHS publishes certificate-recognition requirements; check the classification and registration requirements for your profession: https://scfhs.org.sa/en/certeficaterecognotion.
- On your CV. State your accreditation or recognition status in the header (for example "SCE accreditation: in progress"). This is advice, not an employer rule.
2. Jadarat: a board you can visit, not one Apply Edge covers
Jadarat: Saudi Arabia's national employment platform for Saudi job seekers; eligibility applies (HRDF: https://www.hrdf.org.sa/en/products-and-services/programs/individuals/other/jadarat/apply/). HRDF lists the service for Saudi citizens, with login through Nafath and a professional file on the platform; public-sector applications need verified qualifications and, for some grades, the Qiyas aptitude test.
