But surely there should be a bit more to it than that?Well, this is where things get interesting.I'm working with a growing accounting firm looking for an Accounting Advisory Manager, and I think this could appeal to someone who enjoys the commercial side of accounting.You'll work directly with business owners, advising them on cash flow, forecasting, acquisitions, business transitions, and the decisions that actually shape their businesses.And here's the interesting bit.The firm also has Investment Banking and Wealth Management teams, so you'll get exposure to conversations and opportunities that you wouldn't necessarily come across in a traditional accounting firm.Not a bad way to broaden your experience.A few other things worth knowing.Summer Fridays, which I suspect you'll appreciate more than another firm promising a great culture.Competitive salary, performance bonuses, generous PTO, full benefits, retirement plans, and corporate season tickets.You'll also have autonomy, mentorship from senior leadership, and the opportunity to help develop a growing advisory team.What are they looking for?Someone with 7+ years in public accounting, advisory, or consulting who knows US GAAP,compilations, and reviews.You'll have experience managing people and building client relationships.CPA or significant progress towards it. M&A experience would be nice, but isn't essential.Now, you might be perfectly happy where you are.And that's fine.
