In this role, you’ll collaborate across design engineering, manufacturing, and quality to improve productivity, cost, quality, safety, and sustainability. What You’ll DoAs an Advanced Process Engineer, you’ll provide direct and indirect process-engineering support across multiple product lines and locations. You’ll help guide projects from concept through implementation while identifying opportunities to continuously improve manufacturing performance.Key responsibilities include:Lead process-engineering activities involving project management, new process development, and manufacturing issue resolutionDevelop, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing processesEvaluate production processes and workflows to identify opportunities for higher quality and productivityApply advanced Lean manufacturing principles to process design and manufacturing planningSolve complex technical challenges involving manufacturing, construction, inspection, and maintenancePrepare and manage project budgets and schedules, including reporting on technical, cost, and schedule statusPartner with design engineering, manufacturing, and quality to define manufacturing methods, equipment, tooling, work holding, and gauging needsDesign, implement, and test new procedures that optimize productivityUse process-simulation software to evaluate production strategiesTrack process metrics, document changes, and communicate recommendations to leadershipConduct risk assessments and evaluate compliance with applicable safety and quality standardsHelp develop Operational Excellence strategies and support the execution of technical plans What You BringWe’re looking for an experienced engineering professional who combines technical expertise with creative problem-solving, strong project leadership, and effective cross-functional collaboration.Qualifications include:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Process, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or another technical disciplineFive years of progressive experience in heavy manufacturing processes, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience leading technical programs in complex manufacturing and fabrication environmentsKnowledge of robotics, PLCs, DC torque tools, and other automated process equipmentSix Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experienceManufacturing experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, or GD&TAbility to develop and present technical recommendations to customers and internal leadership Preferred qualifications:Defense-component manufacturing, machining, or assembly experienceProject Management Professional, or PMP, certificationEnglish and Spanish language skillsWhy Join SAF-HOLLAND?You’ll have the opportunity to:Develop manufacturing solutions that support multiple product lines and sitesWork with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and quality teamsLead projects that improve efficiency, quality, cost, safety, and sustainabilityContribute to Operational Excellence and continuous improvement initiativesTake on a regional role with exposure to domestic and international operations Our culture is built on the core values of Safety, Respect, Reliability, Innovation, and Responsibility, supported by a results-driven commitment to continuous improvement and the principles of the SAF-HOLLAND Way.
