Analyst, Multi Strategy Hedge Fund

A global, institutionally backed investment manager running concentrated event-driven and engaged-ownership strategies with a strong North Asia focus is hiring an Investment Analyst to join its small investment team.The Analyst will generate and underwrite ideas around corporate events such as M&A, restructurings, spin-offs and governance-driven situations. The work spans detailed operating, valuation and transaction models, analysis of deal terms and likely outcomes, and clear investment cases for the portfolio managers. Analysts gain early exposure to live situations and to engagement with management teams and boards.Candidates will have at least 2–3 years of M&A experience, ideally from investment banking, principal investing or transaction advisory. Very strong technical modelling is essential, including accretion/dilution and full merger models. Japanese language ability is highly valued but not essential.
