Android Developer Intern

About the RoleWe are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Android Developer Intern who is interested in building mobile applications and developing practical software development skills.The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of Android development, programming fundamentals, and mobile application development. Candidates should preferably have practical exposure through academic projects, personal projects, or previous internships involving Android application development.This is a hands-on internship where the candidate will work closely with the development team to build, improve, test,and maintain Android applications while gaining exposure to real-world development projects.Key Responsibilities●Assist in developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining Android applications.● Work with the development team to implement new features and improve existing application functionality.● Develop user-friendly mobile application screens and interfaces.● Write clean, structured, and maintainable code.● Work with APIs and integrate backend services into Android applications.● Understand application requirements and convert them into functional features.●Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve basic application issues and bugs.●Test application functionality across different devices and screen sizes.● Work with local databases and support data storage and retrieval within applications.●Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and development meetings.● Collaborate with backend developers, QA testers, and other team members.● Maintain basic technical documentation and follow development practices.●Learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and Android development practices.Technical Knowledge & Skills●Basic understanding of Android application development.●Knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin programming languages.● Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.●Familiarity with Android Studio and basic Android development tools.● Understanding of Android application components, activities, layouts, and UI development.●Basic knowledge of XML layouts; familiarity with Jetpack Compose is an added advantage.● Understanding of REST APIs and JSON; experience integrating APIs is preferred.●Basic knowledge of databases such as SQLite or Room is an advantage.●Familiarity with Git/GitHub and version control is preferred.● Understanding of debugging, troubleshooting, and basic software testing.mKonnekt LLC ● Candidates with Android application development projects are strongly encouraged to apply.Qualifications●Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.Candidates must have completed their graduation before joining.●Strong interest in Android application development and mobile technologies.● Good programming fundamentals and logical problem-solving ability.● Understanding of basic data structures and programming concepts.●Previous internship experience in Android or mobile application development is preferred.●Academic or personal projects involving Android application development will be an advantage.●Ability to understand technical requirements and work on assigned development tasks.● Good written and verbal communication skills.●Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.● Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and development methodologies.● Comfortable working in shifts that overlap with U.S. working hours.What You'll Learn● Hands-on experience in real-world Android application development.●Practical experience working with Java/Kotlin and Android Studio.●Building and improving mobile application features.●Android UI development and application architecture.●API integration and backend connectivity.● Database handling and local data storage.● Debugging, troubleshooting, and application testing.● Working with Git/GitHub and collaborative development practices.● Understanding the software development lifecycle and production development processes.● Working with developers, QA testers, and other technical team members.Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who is passionate about mobile application development, has a good foundation inprogramming, enjoys solving problems, and is eager to learn.Candidates who have completed their graduation and can demonstrate their skills through academic, personal, orinternship projects involving Android application development will be preferred.Internship Assessment & Career Opportunity: The six-month internship will conclude with a performance andtechnical assessment.
