Tailor my CV for this job — freeAbout QOVESQOVES is a technology company pioneering facial aesthetics, helping consumers make smarter beauty decisions. Every day, people make important decisions about their appearance based on guesswork or generic advice. We help them decide with clarity instead. Our platform gives customers a clear, science-backed understanding of their face, paired with bespoke advice on how they can look better. Our work reaches millions: more than 3 million people follow QOVES across platforms and most importantly, our customers are delighted, with 4.8 stars across 600+ reviews; we believe this reflects the care and sensitivity with which we approach everyone who comes to us for guidance. We’re a profitable, growing company headquartered in London, with a team across the globe. What guides us is simple: people deserve more than one-size-fits-all advice when it comes to their appearance. Every decision we make (from the science behind our models to the way we communicate results) is grounded in evidence, responsibility, and a broad, inclusive understanding of beauty.About the RoleThe non-negotiable is this: you write most of your code by directing AI coding agents like Claude Code and Codex, and you are accountable for every line they produce, including the wrong ones. If “the AI did it” sounds like a reasonable defence, this role is not for you.We hand you a product design and a brief. You work out what data each part of the design needs, then build the backend logic that analyses images and user input and returns structured data to our frontend team. You set up open-source computer vision and AI models, run them on real images, and judge whether their output is accurate enough to ship. You check your own work before review, so wrong values, invented APIs and messy code stop with you. Then you ship small, well-typed pull requests that pass review the first time. We define the product. Your job is to make it work and keep it maintainable. What We’re Looking ForWrite clear, precise English in prompts, pull requests and messages. This is the first thing we screen for.Use Claude Code, Codex or Cursor every day, and can show us how you break a task down for an agent.Know enough computer vision, machine learning and data engineering to ask for the right thing and to recognise a wrong answer when you see one.Are a solid Python engineer who understands typing and async, and who spots bad patterns in a diff quickly.Look at the actual output every time. Code that runs proves very littleNice to HaveExperience with OpenCV or similar image librariesExperience with FastAPI, workflow engines, or cloud storageExperience getting structured outputs from LLM APIsA side project where you got an open-source model running and evaluated itCompensation and LogisticsRemote, full-time contractCompensation: Competitive, based on experienceHow to applyPlease send your CV to jobs@qoves.com along with your answers to the following three questions. Each answer should be no more than 150 words.Describe one time an AI coding agent gave you code that looked right but was wrong. How did you find out?You must estimate the real-world size of an object from a single photo. What steps and checks would you ask an AI agent to build?Paste one real prompt you recently gave an AI coding agent, and tell us what happened next.Include a link to one piece of your work: a repository, pull request, write-up or demo.
