Team members join a growing, mission-driven organization that values health, transparency, and responsible production.Role Description The Assistant Accountant internship at Rus Organic is an on-site role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The intern will assist with daily accounting activities, including recording financial transactions, updating ledgers, and maintaining accurate documentation. Responsibilities include supporting invoice processing, tracking expenses, assisting with bank reconciliations, and helping prepare basic financial reports. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams for payment follow-ups, organizing receipts and supporting documents, and ensuring compliance with internal accounting procedures. This internship provides practical exposure to accounting operations in a fast-growing organic FMCG environment.QualificationsFoundational knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with bookkeeping practices.Ability to work with spreadsheets and basic accounting software; strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.Good organizational skills, including document management and record-keeping.Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.Strong ethical standards, reliability, and the ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.Willingness to learn, adapt, and work on-site in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region during internship hours.Interest in the organic or FMCG sector is an advantage.Must know how to use Tally & have previous accounts work
