Assistant Manager – Strategic Finance & CFO Advisory Location: Mohali Work Mode: Work from Office Shift Timing: 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM Working Days: 5 days a week About DNA GrowthDNA Growth is a leading professional services firm providing business planning and Virtual CFO solutions to startups and mid-sized enterprises across North America and the MENA region.We combine people, processes, and technology to deliver financial insights, strategic planning, and decision-support solutions that help businesses achieve sustainable growth.Job OverviewWe are looking for a finance professional with a strong background in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Transaction Advisory, or Financial Modelling to join our Strategic Finance & CFO Advisory team.The role involves working closely with CFOs, founders, and senior management of international startups and mid-sized businesses, supporting financial planning, business modelling, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.The ideal candidate should have strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities, an understanding of business fundamentals, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.Key Responsibilities1. Financial Modelling & AnalysisDevelop and maintain detailed financial models, including three-statement financial models.Perform DCF valuations, comparable company analysis, and financial projections.Conduct revenue, profitability, cost, cash flow, and working capital analysis.Perform scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and financial feasibility assessments.2. Financial Planning & Performance ManagementSupport annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and long-term financial planning.Analyse actual versus budgeted financial performance and identify variances.Monitor financial and operational KPIs and provide meaningful business insights.Assist in developing financial dashboards, management reports, and performance reviews.Identify opportunities for cost optimization, margin improvement, and business growth.3. Strategic Finance & CFO AdvisoryWork closely with CFOs and business leaders on financial and strategic planning.Support business planning, fundraising, capital allocation, and investment-related decisions.Evaluate business performance, financial health, and growth opportunities.Prepare investor presentations, management reports, and strategic financial presentations.Provide analytical support for key business decisions and financial strategies.4. Client Engagement & ReportingPrepare high-quality client-facing financial reports and presentations.Collaborate with international clients and cross-functional teams.Support multiple client engagements across different industries.Translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline (mandatory).3–5 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Transaction Advisory, Valuations, Financial Modelling, or FP&A.Strong understanding of financial statements, financial modelling, and valuation methodologies.Hands-on experience in three-statement modelling, DCF, financial projections, and business analysis.Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis is highly preferred.Experience working with startups, technology businesses, or mid-sized enterprises is an advantage.CFA / ACCA / CA or equivalent finance qualification is preferred.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.Ability to manage multiple assignments and work with international clients.Preferred Candidate ProfileInvestment Banking professionals with exposure to financial modelling, valuations, fundraising, and transaction analysis.Candidates who have worked closely with CFOs, founders, or senior management on financial planning and business decisions.Professionals capable of transitioning their investment banking and transaction analysis skills into strategic finance and CFO advisory assignments.Candidates with startup, technology, SaaS, or investment-sector exposure will be preferred.
