Assistant Research Scientist

Role Description The Assistant Research Scientist is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility to work both on-site and from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data related to agricultural finance, banking, leasing, and insurance, and supporting research projects that inform product development and policy decisions. The role involves preparing concise reports and presentations, assisting in the design of research methodologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate findings into practical recommendations. The Assistant Research Scientist will also help maintain research databases, monitor industry trends, and ensure that research activities follow ethical standards and organizational guidelines.QualificationsStrong analytical and quantitative skills, including data collection, statistical analysis, and interpretation of research findings.Ability to design and execute research studies, including literature reviews, survey development, and experimental or observational methodologies.Clear written and verbal communication skills to prepare reports, research briefs, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.Proficiency with common research and productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, basic statistical or data analysis tools).Background or strong interest in agriculture, finance, banking, leasing, or insurance sectors is highly beneficial.Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, economic, social science, or related field; progress toward or completion of a relevant graduate degree is an advantage.Ability to work independently and in teams in a hybrid environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.Respect for research ethics, data confidentiality, and non-discriminatory, inclusive practices in all work.Eligibility to work in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and availability for part-time, on-site collaboration when required.
