Senior Regulatory Food Specialist

Role Description The Senior Regulatory Food Specialist is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees regulatory compliance for food-grade packaging products, ensuring alignment with relevant local and international food safety standards and certifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing technical specifications, maintaining documentation related to food safety and quality, and coordinating with production and quality assurance teams to implement regulatory requirements. The specialist will monitor regulatory updates, support audits and inspections, and advise internal stakeholders on best practices for food handling, packaging, and labeling. Collaboration with clients and external regulatory bodies to address compliance inquiries and support continuous improvement in food safety processes is also expected.QualificationsCandidates should possess skills in Food Preparation and Cooking to understand practical food handling and safety requirements.Candidates should possess experience in Food & Beverage and Food Service to interpret operational needs and industry standards.Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.Experience with food safety regulations, quality management systems, and certifications (e.g., ISO 22000, BRC, HACCP) is highly beneficial.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related field is preferred.Demonstrated ability to analyze regulatory documents, prepare clear reports, and manage compliance documentation.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.Experience in packaging, manufacturing, or industrial food-grade products within the Middle East or international markets is an advantage.
