Audit Director

VP of Audit UAEWe are seeking an experienced VP of Investigations Audit to lead complex internal audit engagements, fraud investigations and special reviews within a Financial environment. This role will play a key part in identifying control weaknesses, strengthening operational risk management and ensuring robust governance across the institution.Key Responsibilities & RequirementsFraud Investigations & Special Reviews: Lead complex investigations and targeted reviews, identify control failures, establish root causes and recommend effective remedial actions.Minimum 10 years of internal audit experience within finance with strong expertise in operational controls, risk-based auditing and operations.Trade Finance: Strong knowledge of trade finance operations, SWIFT payments, corporate banking processes and their associated operational risks.Audit Leadership: Manage audit teams, oversee end-to-end audit engagements and contribute to the development and execution of risk-based audit plans.Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Present audit findings and recommendations to senior management and executive committees, challenge existing practices and engage with regulatory stakeholders.Risk & Internal Controls: Demonstrate a strong understanding of risk frameworks, regulatory requirements, operational risk and control environments.Reporting & Remediation: Produce high-quality audit reports, provide practical recommendations and monitor corrective actions through to completion.Professional Qualifications: CA, CPA, CIA or an equivalent professional audit qualification, with knowledge of Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS) and recognised banking audit methodologies.
