Senior Azure AI Solution Architect100% Remote (EST)Contract Length: 6 months with potential for extension or conversion**Unable to Provide Sponsorship or do C2C**Role OverviewWe are seeking a senior-level Azure AI Solution Architect to support a growing portfolio of AI and enterprise architecture initiatives within a large healthcare organization.This individual will work closely with Enterprise Architecture, AI enablement teams and technical delivery groups to design scalable AI solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate is an experienced architect who can operate strategically while remaining hands-on enough to develop proofs of concept, evaluate technical approaches and work directly alongside engineering teams.Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solution architectures for AI and Generative AI initiatives using Microsoft Azure.
• Partner with AI enablement, Enterprise Architecture, engineering and business teams to translate use cases into scalable technical designs.
• Evaluate architecture options and recommend appropriate Azure services, patterns and integrations.
• Develop or contribute directly to proofs of concept when needed to validate new AI capabilities.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to engineering and development teams throughout implementation.
• Support multiple AI-related workstreams and enterprise technology initiatives simultaneously.
• Review vendor-proposed architectures and provide technical direction and oversight.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, scalability and integration standards.
• Communicate technical designs and recommendations clearly to both technical teams and leadership.
• Help establish reusable architecture patterns for future AI initiatives.Required Qualifications
• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect, Cloud Architect or Enterprise Architect.
• Strong Microsoft Azure architecture experience.
• Strong understanding of AI, Generative AI and modern AI application architecture.
• Experience designing AI solutions from both an architecture and development perspective.
• Ability to work hands-on when necessary, including building or supporting technical proofs of concept.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, APIs, integrations and distributed application design.
• Ability to work directly with developers and engineering teams rather than operating solely at a conceptual architecture level.
• Experience managing multiple architecture initiatives or workstreams in a complex enterprise environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across architecture, engineering and business teams.Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience within healthcare, health insurance or payer environments.
• Experience supporting claims, clinical or healthcare operations systems.
• Experience implementing AI solutions within highly regulated enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with Azure AI services and Microsoft’s broader AI ecosystem.
• Experience working within or alongside an Enterprise Architecture organization.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a highly experienced architect who combines strong Azure and AI architecture expertise with enough technical depth to get hands-on when needed.
