BIM Engineer-Facade

Position Overview VR4BIM is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Engineer – Façade with 3–5 years of relevant experience in façade modelling, particularly in aluminium façade systems. The candidate should have a strong understanding of façade engineering, aluminium fabrication, and construction detailing, along with hands-on experience in developing accurate and coordinated BIM models.The role involves creating, modifying, and managing detailed façade BIM models, preparing shop drawings, and coordinating with internal teams and project stakeholders to ensure design accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. BIM Modelling and DevelopmentDevelop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models of façade systems, particularly aluminium curtain walls, windows, doors, ACP cladding, and louvers.Create and modify Revit families and components as per project requirements.Interpret architectural and façade drawings and translate them into accurate BIM models.2. Façade Detailing and DocumentationPrepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation details for aluminium façade systems.Develop plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings covering aluminium profiles, mullions, transoms, brackets, and fixing details.Incorporate design revisions and ensure drawing accuracy in line with project specifications.3. Coordination and Quality ControlCoordinate façade models with architectural, structural, and MEP models.Identify and resolve clashes and modelling discrepancies in coordination with the project team.Ensure BIM models and drawings comply with project standards and are delivered within stipulated timelines. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.3–5 years of relevant experience in BIM modelling and façade detailing.Mandatory hands-on experience in aluminium façade systems.Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and working knowledge of AutoCAD.Knowledge of aluminium curtain wall systems, windows, doors, ACP cladding, aluminium profiles, and façade components.Ability to read and interpret architectural and façade drawings, technical specifications, and fabrication details.Practical experience in preparing façade shop drawings and fabrication drawings.Knowledge of Navisworks for model coordination and clash detection is preferred.Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.Preferred SkillsExperience working on UAE or other international façade projects.Knowledge of unitized and stick-built curtain wall systems.Familiarity with aluminium fabrication processes and installation methodologies.
