BIM Specialist / BIM Coordinator

Role DescriptionWe are seeking technically skilled and detail-oriented professionals for the positions of BIM Specialist / BIM Coordinator. These roles focus on Building Information Modeling, digital construction workflows, model development, design coordination, and the efficient management of project information. The ideal candidates should demonstrate strong technical knowledge, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement.As a BIM Specialist, you will contribute to developing, maintaining, and optimizing digital building models throughout the design and construction process. Responsibilities include creating and updating 3D models, incorporating architectural, structural, and building services information, and ensuring that model components comply with project specifications. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, designers, and other project stakeholders to translate technical drawings and design requirements into coordinated digital representations. Additional duties may include preparing model documentation, managing model data, reviewing design changes, supporting quantity take-offs, and maintaining consistent modeling standards. You will also help improve model accuracy, identify potential design conflicts, and support the effective use of digital construction technologies.As a BIM Coordinator, you will focus on coordinating BIM activities across project teams and ensuring that digital models and project information remain consistent throughout different design and construction stages. Responsibilities include managing model exchanges, reviewing interdisciplinary models, identifying clashes, and coordinating the resolution of design conflicts. You will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers to maintain alignment between project requirements, technical documentation, and model deliverables. Additional duties may include organizing coordination meetings, monitoring BIM deliverables, maintaining common data environments, reviewing model quality, and supporting compliance with project BIM execution plans. You will also contribute to workflow improvements, information management, and effective collaboration between project disciplines.Both positions require accurate documentation, effective communication, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. Successful candidates will contribute to coordinated digital models, improved design accuracy, reduced construction conflicts, and more efficient project delivery while supporting organizational objectives and maintaining professional standards.QualificationsA degree or diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.Strong understanding of Building Information Modeling principles, construction documentation, and project coordination processes.Familiarity with BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or comparable modeling tools.Knowledge of 3D modeling, model review, clash detection, and interdisciplinary design coordination.Understanding of architectural, structural, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.Familiarity with BIM execution plans, model standards, common data environments, or information management procedures is an advantage.Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, model data, and construction documentation.Knowledge of model quality assurance, version control, and digital project collaboration workflows.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and technical reporting tools.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.Effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.A proactive attitude, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning and digital construction excellence.
