Our client has discovered and is clinically developing a slate of first-in-class and best-in-class drugs and therapeutic treatments across a range of rare and mass-market disorders that lack satisfactory, or any, treatment options. Our client seeks a biotech-experienced legal executive to build the company's legal and compliance capabilities that will guide the company as it soon starts its journey down the path of regulatory approvals and commercial launches. Our client is seeking someone with small pharma experience and who has high EQ, is highly collaborative, is innovative, and enjoys building.Key Accountabilities:Serve as principal legal advisor to the CEO, C-suite, and Board of Directors on U.S. and global legal matters, supporting R&D, regulatory pathways, and future US and global commercialization endeavors.Provide executive-level legal leadership, strategy, and compliance oversightFoster strong collaborative relationships to ensure legal alignment with business goals.Oversee regulatory compliance, including FDA regulations specific to both BLA and NDA products.Identify and mitigate legal risks across all areas of the business, including litigation, IP protection, and contractual obligations.Desired Skills/ Qualifications / Experiences / Behaviors:JD10+ years of relevant pharma/biotech experience including ideally in-house legal leadership experience at a clinical-stage or small commercial-stage pharma/biotechExperience preparing for NDA/BLA approval is a plusExperience preparing for a commercial launch is a plus.Experience with research technology collaborations is a plusExperience across a range of relevant legal domains: IP, clinical contracting, compliance, regulatory, BD, etc.High EQStrong business acumen.Someone who thrives in fast-paced and dynamic environments and is comfortable with ambiguity.Transparent and authentic leader.Flexibility to travel as neededCONTACT:Corey S.
