Cloud Solution Architect (Presales - Cross Domain)

CloudMile is looking for a practical, customer-facing Cloud Solutions Architect for our Hong Kong team. You will support customers from discovery and presales through architecture validation, handover, and selected post-sales delivery. The role requires broad cloud judgement, with stronger hands-on capability in infrastructure and security across multi-cloud platforms.As a key technical engineer, you will bridge the gap between business problems, security compliance, and cloud technology solutions. You will work with Sales, Delivery, Security, Data and AI teams, and technology partners to turn business needs into secure, workable solutions. And lead technical execution for Data Engineering, Cloud security transformation, Landing Zone deployment, and cloud migration projects.Key Responsibilities Presales & Technical Consulting: Partner with Sales Managers to lead technical discovery, understand clients' business pain points and security/compliance requirements, and define the technical vision and cloud security strategy.Cross-Domain Solution Design: Architect cloud solutions encompassing Cloud Foundation (Landing Zone, IAM, Networking, DevOps), Security (AI Security, EDR, SIEM, SOAR, SecOps, DLP, Guardrail, threat detection and Vulnerability Scanning) and Data/AI Platforms (Data Lakehouse, GenAI/LLM orchestration, MLOps).RFP/Bid Management & Solution Proposal: Drive technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, and security assessments, creating comprehensive architecture diagrams, Security & Compliance matrices, project scopes, and effort estimations.Proof of Concept (POC) & Hands-on Demonstrations: Design and execute technical POCs, security posture reviews, and product demonstrations showcasing Cloud Service Provider (e.g. AWS, GCP), and third-party ISV partner capabilities.Post-Sales Technical Advisory & Implementation Oversight: Transition won opportunities to delivery teams, provide architectural oversight during project execution, ensure implementation aligns with design standards, and address complex technical roadblocks.Solution Enablement: Learn new cloud and partner solutions quickly, complete relevant labs and certifications, and turn the learning into reusable demos, solution briefs, reference architectures, and internal training.Stakeholder Management: Present infra / data architectures and security frameworks clearly to technical teams (Cloud/Data/DevOps/SecOps), and C-Level stakeholders (CTO/CIO/CISO).Requirements & Qualifications 1. Cloud Foundation & Core Infrastructure3 or more years of hands-on experience in Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure or security consulting, technical presales, or a related role.Strong knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure core concepts: IaaS, PaaS, VPC Networking, Hybrid Cloud Connectivity, and Containerization (Kubernetes/GKE/EKS).Customer-facing experience in discovery, solution design, technical presentations, scope definition, and effort estimation.2. Cloud Security & Compliance Domain KnowledgeExpertise in Multi-Cloud Security Frameworks: Cloud IAM, Key Management (KMS), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Network Security (WAF, Guardrails, Firewall), and Security Operations.Solid understanding of Zero Trust Architecture, Infrastructure Security, and Cloud Governance.Familiarity with regional security standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., HKMA guidelines, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, NIST, CIS).3. Data & AI Domain Knowledge Solid understanding of the Data Space: Data Lakehouse architecture, Data Governance, Security, and Compliance in enterprise environments.Familiarity with Data Warehousing & Analytics products, particularly Google Cloud BigQuery (Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift are also welcome).Conceptual or hands-on understanding of Data Integration (ETL/ELT), Spark, and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI).Knowledge of AI/ML workflows (MLOps) and modern Generative AI / Large Language Models (LLMs) implementation scenarios for business.4.
