Construction Project Engineer (Mining experience)

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Engineer to support the successful execution of large-scale Mining & Metals, mineral processing, recycling, smelting, refining, and heavy industrial projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary construction activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and quality project delivery from construction through commissioning and handover.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and oversee construction activities across multiple disciplines, including: Civil works, Structural works, Mechanical installation, Electrical systems, Piping systems, Instrumentation and controlsMonitor construction progress against approved schedules and project milestones.Interface with EPC/EPCM teams, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives to ensure seamless project execution.Review and support construction work packages, method statements, risk assessments, and execution plans.Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, and HSE standards.Participate in construction planning meetings, progress reviews, and contractor performance evaluations.Identify and resolve field execution issues, technical challenges, and construction clashes.Support commissioning, startup, testing, and project handover activities.Prepare and maintain construction reports, progress updates, KPIs, and management presentations.Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all site activities are executed in accordance with project and corporate safety requirements.Required Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Construction, or related discipline).10+ years of experience in the construction and execution of: Mining & Metals projects, Mineral processing facilities, Smelting and refining operations, Recycling plants and Heavy industrial facilitiesProven experience coordinating multidisciplinary construction activities across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, piping, and instrumentation disciplines.Strong experience working within EPC and EPCM project environments.Demonstrated expertise in contractor management, construction planning, scheduling, and field execution.Hands-on involvement in commissioning, startup, and project handover phases.Strong understanding of quality management systems, construction methodologies, and industry best practices.Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
