This role offers the opportunity to lead projects from concept through commissioning while working with advanced PLCs, HMIs, electrical controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.📍 Location:Grand Ledge, MI (preferred)Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsiteSpringfield, OH or Newaygo, MI considered for the right candidateApproximately 25% travel💲 Compensation:$80,000 - $100,000 DOEStraight-time overtime paid after 45 hours per weekWhat you'll be doing:✅ Design electrical control systems using AutoCAD Electrical✅ Develop PLC and HMI programs using Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and Siemens TIA Portal✅ Design and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems✅ Integrate sensors, VFDs, servos, vision systems, and safety controls✅ Lead machine startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and debugging✅ Manage projects and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, project managers, and customers✅ Create operator and maintenance documentationWhat we're looking for:BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience3-5 years of controls or automation engineering experienceExperience with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation systemsKnowledge of safety PLCs, ISO 13849, EtherNet/IP, and ModbusFamiliarity with NEC and NFPA 79 standardsStrong troubleshooting and commissioning skillsPreferred:Mitsubishi controlsFANUC, ABB, or KUKA robotics experienceIndustry 4.0 technologies
