Data Analyst
The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and early-career professionals to develop their data analytics skills.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect, clean, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.Write SQL queries to retrieve, filter, join, and aggregate data.Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI or Tableau.Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis, pivot tables, lookup functions, and reporting.Identify trends, patterns, discrepancies, and opportunities for business improvement.Prepare regular and ad hoc reports to support business operations and management decisions.Collaborate with business teams to understand reporting requirements and key performance indicators (KPIs).Perform data quality checks and ensure accuracy and consistency.Document data sources, analytical processes, and reporting procedures.Assist with automating repetitive reporting tasks using SQL, Python, or Power Query.Required SkillsBasic to intermediate knowledge of SQL and relational databases.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau for dashboard development and data visualization.Basic understanding of statistics, data analysis, and data interpretation.Ability to identify trends and communicate data-driven insights.Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.Good verbal and written communication skills.Preferred SkillsBasic knowledge of Python, including Pandas and NumPy, or R.Familiarity with Power Query and DAX.Understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling.Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Snowflake.Experience with academic projects, internships, or real-world data analysis projects.Educational QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.Fresh graduates with relevant academic projects and practical knowledge of data analytics tools are encouraged to apply.Experience Requirements0–1 year: Fresh graduates with foundational SQL, Excel, and Power BI/Tableau skills.1–2 years: Candidates with experience in data cleaning, reporting, SQL queries, and dashboard development.2–3 years: Candidates capable of handling datasets, developing dashboards, analyzing KPIs, and delivering actionable business insights.Work LocationsPotential locations across Texas include:DallasAustinHoustonPlanoIrvingFort WorthSan AntonioIdeal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working with data to solve business problems.
