Director of Operations - Heavy Construction Equipment

Location: Dallas–Fort Worth | Texas & OklahomaSouth Star JCB seeks a hands-on Director of Operations to oversee branch, parts, and service operations across current and future locations.

This leader will manage Branch, Parts, and Service Managers and their teams, driving revenue, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and net profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn branch and departmental P&Ls, budgets, revenue, margins, expenses, and profitability.Lead, develop, and hold managers accountable for operational and employee performance.Improve shop and field service productivity, turnaround times, billing, quality, and warranty recovery.Oversee parts purchasing, stocking, inventory accuracy, turnover, and interbranch logistics.Standardize processes, track KPIs, correct deficiencies, and improve performance.Grow parts and service revenue through customer retention, business development, and fleet/contractor relationships.Recruit, develop, and retain managers, technicians, and support staff.Resolve customer escalations and maintain JCB and supplier relationships.Support branch expansion, capacity planning, capital investments, safety, and compliance.Qualifications10+ years in heavy/construction equipment dealerships or related operations, including 5+ years in management.Multi-location leadership experience overseeing parts and service, with proven revenue, profitability, and team development results.Strong P&L, budgeting, pricing, inventory, and analytical skills.Knowledge of construction equipment, diesel engines, shop operations, and mobile service.Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Excel and dealership system proficiency; JCB and IntelliDealer preferred.Travel: DFW-based; up to 50% travel across Texas and Oklahoma, including overnight stays.
