Looking for variety in your next drafting role?Our client is an established engineering consultancy providing design and project services across a range of industries, including steel, cement, quarrying, mining, alumina and defence support.They're looking for a Mechanical Draftsperson to join their Design Services team, contributing to a variety of mechanical and industrial engineering projects.Whether you're building on a few years of drafting experience or bring a more established technical background, we'd be interested in hearing from you.The RoleWorking alongside engineers and designers, you'll play a hands-on role in turning engineering concepts into accurate, practical designs.Creating 3D models and detailed 2D mechanical drawings.Preparing fabrication, construction and general arrangement drawings.Translating engineering concepts and specifications into workable designs.Collaborating with engineers and designers to resolve technical challenges.Ensuring drawings meet relevant Australian Standards and project requirements.Contributing to design reviews and project documentation.Supporting the delivery of mechanical and industrial engineering projects.About YouWe're looking for someone who enjoys the technical side of drafting, takes pride in their work and can contribute to a collaborative engineering team.A minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical drafting or a related engineering design environment.A relevant drafting or engineering qualification, or equivalent practical experience.Experience with 2D drafting and 3D modelling using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor or similar software.The ability to interpret and produce detailed engineering and fabrication drawings.An understanding of Australian drafting standards and engineering practices.Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving.Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.More experienced?
