Electronic Engineer / Senior Electronic Engineer

Our medical device client, based on the east side of Galway, is seeking an experienced Electronic Engineer to join a small, collaborative team. In this hands-on role, you will take ownership of electronic equipment design for medical interventions, contributing to projects from initial concept through to production. Responsibilities will include circuit design, simulation, testing and characterisation across multiple projects, while ensuring compliance with IEC 60601 regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with mechanical and firmware/software engineering teams to develop innovative medical device products.This role can be at Engineer or Senior Engineer level, based on years of experience that you will bring from a similar role.Responsibilities include:Design, development and testing of PCBA and Schematic capture through AltiumUsing LTSpice simulation tool to model and test circuitsWorking with various electronic test and measurement equipmentWorking closely with cross functional teams to meet shared objectives and deadlinesIdeal candidate:4+ years of experience as an Electronics Engineer working in the medical device industry or a similar highly regulated industryWorking knowledge/building electronics to comply with 60601 regulations/standardsBachelors of Engineering in an Electronics disciplineHands on experience with design of printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), and tools like AltiumUsing simulation tools like LTSpiceIt is a permanent role based on site in GalwayCompetitive salary on offer depending on years of experience, along with benefits package
