Engineering Stores Controller

We are recruiting an Engineering Stores Controller for a permanent, Monday to Friday days-based role in Desford with a leading manufacturing company paying a salary up to £40,000 per year.You will manage daily Engineering Stores operations, process order requests for spare parts & consumables, fuels & chemicals at the correct times; handle financial reconciliation of stock and orders, and administer the computerised planned maintenance system.What's in it for you as an Engineering Stores Controller Salary up to circa £40,000 per annumFantastic pension contributionTraining and career development opportunitiesHours of work: Monday to Friday - day-based position 8am - 4pmLocation - Close to the area of Desford Permanent position offering job security with a market-leading businessThe ability to join a state-of-the-art site with a leading manufacturing business that values its employees. Key Responsibilities of the Engineering Stores Controller:Engineering parts and consumables stores control and stock allocationThe day-to-day management of the Engineering Stores Conduct daily and end-of-month checks of fuel and chemical stock levels and responsible for safe storage in line with COSHH requirementsDaily check of PPE and other production-based consumablesManage stock levels using CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).Vet and research new and existing suppliers, constantly looking to gain better quality parts and/or prices and/or improved supplyCarry out period stock checks of all spares (cycle counts)Take any remedial action required due to stock levels in a timely mannerSupply goods/parts to all areas of the factory as requiredCollect/transport goods to/from siteAssist engineering teams in creating kits for planned maintenance tasksLiaise between management and suppliers, to meet delivery deadlines and ensure best price is achievedControl of stores spending against budgetsAssist with the planning and organising parts around maintenance shutdown periods.
