ETL Developer (SAP BODS)Position: ETL Developer – SAP BODS Location: Qatar Work Mode: On-site Experience: 3+ years in ETL development, including hands-on SAP BODS Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related fieldRole SummaryWe are looking for an ETL Developer with strong SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) expertise to design, build, and maintain data integration solutions. The role involves extracting data from multiple source systems, transforming it according to business rules, and loading it into target systems, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deploy ETL jobs, workflows, and data flows using SAP BODS.Extract data from SAP and non-SAP sources (ERP, databases, flat files, APIs) and load it into data warehouses or target applications.Implement data transformation, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation logic.Optimize ETL jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability.Support data migration and data integration projects, including mock loads, cutover, and go-live activities.Work with business analysts, data architects, and functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical designs.Prepare technical specifications, mapping documents, and test cases.Perform unit testing and support UAT and defect resolution.Monitor, schedule, and troubleshoot ETL jobs using Data Services Management Console and related tools.Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and quality standards.Required Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.Minimum 3+ years of experience in ETL development, with hands-on SAP BODS (Designer, Management Console, Central Repository).Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA or similar).Solid understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, data modeling, and data quality.Experience with data profiling, cleansing, and transformation techniques.Experience working with SAP source systems (e.g., SAP ECC/S/4HANA) using extractors, IDocs, BAPIs, or RFCs.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.Ability to work on-site in Qatar.Preferred SkillsExperience in SAP data migration projects (e.g., ECC to S/4HANA).Knowledge of SAP Information Steward, SAP Data Services scripting, or Python/shell scripting.Exposure to other ETL tools (Informatica, SSIS, Talend) or BI/reporting tools.Banking or enterprise domain experience [if applicable].SAP certification is an added advantage.
