This is an excellent opportunity to join a business undergoing significant finance transformation, with the opportunity to take ownership of its newly established UK transactional finance function.Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will manage a small team, oversee critical transactional finance activities and play a key role in strengthening financial controls, improving processes and supporting a major finance systems implementation. This position would suit an experienced transactional finance professional who enjoys combining hands-on operational responsibilities with team leadership and process improvement.Why Work Here?Our client has a highly competitive benefits package: Competitive Salary depending on experienceDiscretionary annual performance bonusHybrid working, typically 3 days per week in the Edinburgh officeNon-contributory pension with employer contributions of up to 13%27 days annual leave plus bank holidaysPrivate medical cover, life assurance and critical illness coverEnhanced parental leave and additional employee benefitsOpportunity to build and develop a newly established finance functionKey involvement in a major finance transformation and Oracle implementationPermanent opportunityAbout the Job?The role of Finance Transactional Services Manager will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:Taking ownership of the day-to-day transactional finance operations across the UK businessLeading, mentoring and developing a small team of transactional finance professionalsOverseeing accounts payable, supplier payments, banking administration and payment validationManaging corporate bank accounts, daily reconciliations and payment runsEnsuring accurate processing of journals, intercompany transactions and payroll-related postingsOverseeing corporate credit cards, employee expenses and fixed asset registersDeveloping and implementing robust financial controls, approval processes and segregation of dutiesStrengthening governance and ensuring compliance with internal audit and risk requirementsPlaying a key role in the implementation of Oracle, working closely with internal stakeholders and external project partnersSupporting the transition of transactional finance activities into a newly established in-house functionIdentifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiencyWorking collaboratively with the wider finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial informationSupporting the development of a scalable, efficient and well-controlled transactional finance functionAbout You?As Finance Transactional Services Manager you will be skilled and/or experienced in the following:Strong experience within transactional finance, accounts payable, banking or financial operationsProven experience managing and developing a transactional finance teamHands-on experience managing payment processes, bank reconciliations and financial controlsStrong understanding of internal controls, risk management and segregation of dutiesExperience improving finance processes and implementing new proceduresPrevious involvement in finance systems implementations, upgrades or migrationsOracle experience would be advantageousPart-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ICAS) or qualified by relevant practical experienceComfortable combining operational responsibilities with team leadership and project deliveryStrong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across finance and wider business teamsA proactive, organised and solutions-focused approachAbility to work effectively in a changing environment and manage competing prioritiesPrevious financial services experience would be beneficial but is not essentialAt Three Bridges Recruitment, two of our values are “striving for brilliance” and “relatability”.
