Role Description This part-time Financial Benchmark Analyst / Financial Benchmark Specialist role is a hybrid position based in Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates, with some flexibility for work from home. The role involves collecting, organizing, and analyzing financial data to benchmark company performance against industry standards and competitors in the travel and destination management sector. The specialist will review financial statements and reports, identify trends and variances, and prepare clear, data-driven benchmark analyses for leadership. Daily tasks include developing comparison models, supporting financial planning activities, and contributing to performance dashboards and reports. The role also collaborates with finance and operations teams to recommend improvements in pricing, cost efficiency, and profitability based on benchmark insights.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Finance and Financial Planning skills, with the ability to support forecasting and budgeting activities.Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret quantitative data, identify trends, and conduct benchmarking analyses.Candidates should possess skills in working with Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including variance analysis and performance metrics.Relevant academic background such as a degree or professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial modeling software); familiarity with BI or data visualization tools is an advantage.Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner.Experience or interest in the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry is beneficial.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage time independently, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
