The platform is a multi-tenant SaaS running on AWS: a Node.js backend, Next.js applications, a partner REST API, CRM connectors, AI processing services and automated report delivery.About the roleWe are building a SaaS CRM and internal operations platform inside our Next.js staff application: client success, sales pipeline, retention alerts, a shared email inbox, researcher and manager dashboards, employee scorecards, time-off calendar, goals and meetings, and executive reporting with date-range comparisons. As the senior product engineer you set the component, data-fetching and testing patterns the rest of the product team follows, and you build the hardest screens yourself, end to end, including the endpoints behind them.ResponsibilitiesDefine the component architecture and data-fetching patterns for the CRM in Next.js (App Router), React 19 and TypeScript, within our design token system.Build the inbox, pipeline board, saved views and timeline experiences, and the Express endpoints they consume.Implement data-heavy views: filterable tables, date-range and prior-period comparisons, charts, drill-downs, bulk actions, CSV export.Use TanStack Query for server state and server-sent events for live updates; design the invalidation map so screens stay consistent.Establish the Playwright suite for the product with the SDET and keep lint and type checks green.Review the product team's pull requests and mentor the mid and junior engineers.Keep render performance and accessibility strong for staff who live in the app all day.Required skills5+ years building production web applications, at least two with React and TypeScript and at least one with Next.js App Router.Shipped an admin, dashboard, inbox or CRM product with complex tables, filters and role-based permissions.Node.js and Express: writes and reviews the endpoints behind the screens you own.TanStack Query or an equivalent server-state library.Playwright or Cypress tests written for your own features.Has set frontend conventions for a team and reviewed others' code.Preferred skillsBuilt an inbox, kanban or pipeline board, or another real-time multi-user screen.TanStack Table or similar data-grid work with large datasets.Prisma and PostgreSQL.
